Private Alexander Robert Hubbard

Alexander Hubbard served as a Private in the 1st Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment), service number 100073.

He was the son of John and Elizabeth Hubbard, and was born and lived in Burton Overy. He attended Kibworth Grammar School.

Alexander was aged 19 when he was killed on 5th June 1918, and is buried at H.A.C. Cemetery, Ecoust-St.Mein, Pas de Calais, France.

Alexander Hubbard is also commemorated on the War Memorial originally displayed at Kibworth Grammar School, but now on display at Kibworth High School.
