Gordon Wilfred Davis was a Private in the 1st Battalion, Duke of Wellington’s (West Riding Regiment), service number 5891800.
He died on 6th May 1943, aged 20 years, and is buried in Massicault War Cemetery, approximately 20 miles south of Tunis, Tunisia, grave I.B. 20.
Gordon Davis does not appear on any war memorial in Kibworth or Smeeton, but is included in this section as his name is listed on the Roll of Honour that appeared in the 1945 edition of the Kibworth News. He obviously had some connection with the villages but we have been unable to discover the connection.
